Local Lifestyle

Mariemont is ranked among the best places to live in Cincinnati, due in part to its wide array of amenities and services—from 50+ acres of parkland to award-winning schools to the European charm of its tree-lined residential streets and village square. Founded in 1923 by philanthropist Mary Emery, Mariemont is one of the nation's first planned suburban communities. Its historic architecture and nationally renowned town plan provide a sense of place and timeless character.

Mariemont’s neighbor, Terrace Park, offers much of the same charm. Residents of Terrace Park also enjoy convenience to the Little Miami River, and shopping and dining options in nearby Milford.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The Mariemont Strand serves as the community center with red brick Tudor buildings that house restaurants, services and boutiques, as well as the historic Mariemont Inn and beloved Mariemont Theatre.

Dining options in both villages include The Quarter Bistro, National Exemplar Restaurant, Graeterʼs Ice Cream, Fifty West Brewing Co., The Birch, Dilly Bistro, and LaRosaʼs Pizzeria. Shoppers enjoy one-of-a-kind specialty stores, such as Pomegranate & Lime, The Villager, and Coolest Toys on Earth.

Recreation in Mariemont and Terrace Park is as close as your front door. Parks provide walking and biking trails, picnic areas with gas grills, sports fields, a Tot Lot for young children, and a bird/wildlife sanctuary. At Dogwood Park, the Carillon in the Bell Tower is the site of concerts each Sunday throughout the summer. Recreational leagues offer year-round league sports for adults and youth, including baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, track, volleyball and football. Civic organizations, from The Garden Club to Kiwanis to the Mariemont Players theater group, offer residents opportunities to meet neighbors and become involved in the community.
